This Diagnostic

This tool asks you to reflect on two things simultaneously: your own behaviour as a leader, and what you observe in the people around you. Both matter. Neither is complete without the other.

Some questions ask about what you do. Others ask about what you notice in your team. Together, they produce a picture of the conditions you may be creating, including conditions you haven't been aware of.

A few things to hold in mind

  • Rate each statement on a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree).
  • Answer based on what is honestly true, not what you'd like to be true. The only useful data is the real data.
  • There are no right answers, but there are honest ones. This tool works when you use it that way.
  • Some questions will feel uncomfortable. That discomfort is usually information.
  • This is a self-report. It reflects your perception. Pair it with feedback from your team for the fullest picture.
